The signup process did not work in Safari or Chrome on iOS. After you enter all your information there is NO ENTER BUTTON to make it submit. I had to sign up on a desktop browser.

Ive been a HoS fan since the early eighties; I am thrilled that I can have it on my iPhone! Not a day goes by, or night, especially, that I dont listen to it- it is my most used app, bar none! I for one have no complaints, very happy with it. Love you, Stephen, and all of you there at HoS and thank you for everything- all the hard work you put forth to bring this to US, the true HoS fans!

Update: In addition to all of the wonderful new updates, HOS has been optimized for the iPhone 5s and is now a "Universal" app. Thank you so much!! HOS is calming, peaceful, and serene. The description of whats included at no extra cost is exactly what you get. Theres no advertising and I havent been asked to pay for any additional content. The app works perfectly without any of the problems Ive experienced with other streaming apps. Highly recommend!!

Why does the app want access to the microphone? I dont like that. Also, it seems like it might be working correctly now, but the previous version would continue to stream on cellular data even though I had it turned off in system prefs.

Hearts of Space has been and continues to be one of the most impressive music services around. I only wish I would have discovered it earlier. At this point I’m only about a year older than the service itself, which is no small feat for a music company. Regardless, the past few years have been a joy utilizing the webpage and subsequent mobile iOS app. Whether its long nights writing school papers, or kicking back and enjoying my favorite novel, the music available via the Hearts of Space archive has been my go-to background soundtrack. Notable new features are the ability to fast forward through your current episode selection, and also the ability to restart where you left off if you need to stop the stream and close the app for whatever reason. Of note as well is the awesome customer service. I had a slight issue with the new version initially and had to contact support. I was answered right away with a solution that fixed the issue. Kudos to the Hill fam and all that make Hearts of Space what it is.

Version 2.5 of the Hearts of Space iPhone app is a pleasure to look at and listen to. This Weeks Show on demand, 8 different full-time music genre channels, and access to My Playlists - this is effing GREAT! Crazy good eye candy and a smooth-as-silk interface. This is how you Hearts of Space! Well worth the wait. Thanks, HoS!!!

I started listening to HOS back in the 1980s on the radio and now enjoy listening on my schedule (i.e., every day) using my iPhone App. But now I can hear music from the extensive archive as well as this week’s show (not to mention the other great interactive features). I can’t recommend it highly enough. And they have the greatest — and I mean greatest — customer service around. I had a minor problem on a Saturday evening, sent out an e-mail asking for help, and got a return e-mail within an hour on the same evening.

When I open this app I just get a black screen w/ stars & the logo- cant access the music :( I miss HOS! Thought about deleting & reloading but didnt want to be charged for app again w/ a chance of it not working. I guess I have to wait for next update & hope it works.

Old version got a 4 stars too because of setting etc. too. This should be a 4.5 app except for the below... Also, would be nice to be able to loop the show and not have to restart. Been using app for a long time and updates were what we have been looking for. The This Weeks Show starts, bit then crashes of you try to multi-task. Also, it seem the settings changes did not save. Great shows as always. Pleas hot fix.

I had posted a negative review due to HOS not working correctly on my ipod, iPad, or kindle fire. Update has fixed all problems. Loved HOS back in Hippy Days and Steven Hill has such a mellow voice At the introduction of each play list with the option of muting his introduction.

the new version does not work on my old ipod and my new Iphone5s I just bought today. The older version of this app works fine on my older ipod, the new one just shows the starfield but does not load up. Update to this review, The new fix has solved my connection problems. Leyla Hill and Joseph Jacobs have provided me with first class service and responded to my concerns. The folks at Hearts of Space not only have provided me with world class space music but also world class service.. Thank you. You have earned a customer for life. I have been a long time subscriber, and they have ratified my loyality. They truly are the "Hearts" in the Hearts of Space enterprise!

I normally don’t write reviews, it’s not my thing. I will make an exception for HOS. It’s gotta be the best $0.99 I’ve ever spent. Stephen Hill has created one of the best sources of ambient music around all for pennies a week. A remarkable collection of all types of easy listening, I love it. It’s almost impossible to not find hours worth of listening on the 6 channels, plus the weekly program. As important to me is the support. I’m not a geek and I’ve had several questions about how to best set up both my PC and iPhone and when I’ve asked for help Leyla Hill (I bet they’re related) responds quickly, usually within an hour with excellent guidance. She knows the system as well as Stephen knows the music. All you need to do is ask. I’m just a happy customer.

Used to love listening to HOS on this app, but now it doesnt do anything. Ever since updating, it starts with a cool looking animated starfield and thats it. Nothing else happens. I have tried resetting my phone, reinstalling the app, and none of this is helped. Please fix, and I will update my review to more stars. It used to be five stars in my opinion, sadly.

This app gives me all the functionality I have on a pc. I can skip forward or back while Im in a program, and of course between programs. I never toggle off the voiceover so I dont know how that works. Solid performance: This app does NOT skip to a new program partway through, yay!

Great app!! Works fine on my 5th gen.

Im using an iPad 3 and the new update has the graphics going jerky like crazy when scrolling, the music stops for no reason, its really bad compared to the prior version. It is way too buggy to have been released like this.

Keep trying to sign up as a new user. Site lets me go thru process and instructs me to wait for email which never comes. Try to sign in anyway and site says oops . Waste of time and money

Freezes on load screen. The one time it worked had a terrible time getting it to play anything.

There is simply no substitute for Stephen Hill and Hearts of Space. Ive been listening for the better part of 20 years now, and every time I think Ive found an alternate source for relaxing music, I come to realize that the hand picked playlists from Hearts of Space are just the best. I return time and again. The app itself is just the gateway to this long running public radio show. It provides high quality access to the catalog of shows. I personally prefer to listen to the weekly episode, and then use the various Channels to get work done or read a fine book. The team behind the app (and show) take the feedback seriously and continually work to improve the experience. I would heartily recommend this to anyone who is looking for "space music", "new age music" or just good music.

Like many of the others here, all I get when I load the app is the splash screen with the title and the starfield. Disappointed.
